In Design Thinking we want design products which have long term appeal.

London's Westminster Abbey is a great example of a building that's stood the test of time.

It has that long term appeal.

Every time one goes past it, one can appreciate its beauty, appeal and design.

The build uses divine geometry and golden ratio to achieve that long term appeal.

The ornamentation has its own rhythm and careful layout which works based on natural patterns.

These are the patterns which humans can recognise without having to think.

They are patterns 'baked' into our psyche and we appreciate them by default.

Great architects, who are designers of buildings, knew this for a long time.

They went all in to create buildings which have long term appeal.

How can we apply these approaches to other types of products?

It is possible.

More than possible.
